How Do You Get Bed Bugs In Your Home?
You may have discovered a few bed bugs in your home and are curious about where they arrived from and what drew them in?
While many people believe that they may only find bed bugs in filthy environments, this is not true. While dirt and filth play a role in their existence in houses, bedbugs can get detected in immaculate homes or environments in Collier County.
You can obtain bed bugs in your house through various sources. However, the most common is when you purchase used furniture. Furthermore, the probability of catching bugs is very high while traveling because you never know who was on the plane with you or has been in a plane or cab before.
Furthermore, when your luggage is all housed in one location on the plane or taxi, there is a very high probability that bed bugs will move from one suitcase to the next.
Bedbugs are difficult, if not impossible, to detect because they hide in crevices or seams of furniture during the day. Bugs can potentially creep into your home from a nearby infested residence in Collier County.
The most straightforward approach to avoid these incidents is to spray your bags and used furniture before bringing them into your home and seek the counsel of a bed bug exterminator like STAT Pest Control in Everglades City, FL.
What Draws Bed Bugs Into Your Home?
You may invite bed bugs into your home, but they may stay or go depending on their state. Certain factors will attract them to your home, making it harder to get rid of them.
1) Dark Bedding: According to a new study, bed bugs like black and red colors. Bed bugs prefer the dark, so it’s no wonder that they prefer dark bed sheets and bedspreads.
Dark bedding also makes it easier for bedbugs to hide because it is impossible to see their dark skins on dark bedding.
2) Laundry With A Dirty Smell: If you leave your dirty laundry pile up on the floor or in a laundry basket, bed bugs may find it easy to hide and breed. The smell and odor of those clothes will attract bed bugs, especially if you are not present to bother them.
3) High Level Of Carbon Dioxide: Apart from blood, carbon dioxide is another element that attracts bed bugs. Bed bugs thrive on and around bedding because we exhale considerable amounts of carbon dioxide when we sleep. They are more likely to thrive in areas with high carbon dioxide.
4) Enhanced Warmness: We all enjoy the warmth, and it appears that bed bugs do as well. The heat our skin emits while sleeping and the warmth trapped in bed linens create an excellent dwelling environment for these irritating parasites.
Also, bed bugs will often be present near the top of your bed because the most heating is found around our heads and faces.

Everglades City is a city in Collier County, Florida, United States, of which it is the former county seat. As of the 2010 census, the population is 400. It is part of the Naples–Marco Island Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Gulf Coast Visitor Center for Everglades National Park is in Everglades City.
The area around Chokoloskee Bay, including the site of Everglades City, was occupied for thousands of years by Native Americans of the Glades culture, who were absorbed by the Calusa shortly before the arrival of Europeans in the New World, but by the time Florida was transferred from Spain to the United States in 1821, the area was uninhabited. A legend says that Seminoles planted potatoes along what is now the Barron River during the Seminole Wars, in the vicinity of the present Everglades City.
American settlement began after the Civil War, when Union sympathizers who had farmed on Cape Sable to supply Key West during the war moved up the west coast of the peninsula. The first permanent settler was William Smith Allen, who arrived on the banks of Potato Creek (later renamed the Allen River) in 1873. After Allen retired to Key West in 1889, George W. Storter, Jr. became the principal landowner in the area. Storter gained fame for his sugar cane crops. He opened a trading post in 1892, and gained a post office, called ‘Everglade’, in 1895. Storter also began entertaining northern tourists who came to Everglade by yacht in the winter to hunt and fish. His house eventually grew into the Rod and Gun Club, visited by United States Presidents and other notables.
The first school in Everglade was organized in 1893. The school moved into a new building in 1895, but the building was destroyed by a tornado later in the year. The next school building was washed away by the 1910 hurricane. A Methodist circuit rider began visiting Everglade in 1888, and another Methodist minister began a four-year residency the next year. After that, Everglade was occasionally visited by itinerant preachers of various denominations. The Episcopal Church established a mission at Immokalee which eventually moved to Everglade when revitalized in the 1930s by Harriet Bedell.
